- Input K or Kpz ?
- ────────────────
- If you choose K, the transfer function with poles and zeros is:
- s s
- (1 - ──)(1 - ──)....
- z1 z2
- G(s) = K ────────────────────
- s s
- (1 - ──)(1 - ──)....
- p1 p2
- If your choice is Kpz, then the transfer function with poles and
- zeros is:
- (s - z1)(s - z2)....
- G(s) = Kpz ────────────────────
- (s - p1)(s - p2)....
-
- z1, z2, ... are the zeros and p1, p2, ... are the poles.
- These expressions are maintained in all calculation processes until
- the option is changed again.
-
- │ Warning:
- │ In analog systems the choice of K or Kzp influences the static
- │ gain of feedback systems if poles or zeros are relocated from the
- │ forward path of the control loop to the feedback path of the
- │ control loop. Therefore it is recommended to choose K in feedback
- │ situations.
- Coord Cart or pol?
- ──────────────────
- Poles and zeros are entered and shown in either Cartesian coordi-
- nates (real and imaginary parts) or in polar coordinates (modulus
- and argument).
- PlotTitles ?
- ────────────
- If you choose 'PlotTitles', tables and plots are shown without a
- menu bar with program instructions. Those tables or plots may be
- equipped with a title of your own choice.
- This feature was introduced for tables and plots in publications.
- Grids in plots ?
- ────────────────
- The time response plots and the frequency analysis plots may be
- equipped with a grid. The root-loci plots never have a grid.
- Print-size ?
- ────────────
- If you choose A5, plots are printed in the portrait position. The
- print takes about half an A4 page. If you choose A4, plots are
- printed in landscape position. The print fills the whole A4 format.
